Council Secures Court Order Over Dangerous Building Concerns

Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council has secured a court order against Maplemanor Properties in relation to concerns over dangerous structures at the former Antrim Arms building in Ballycastle.

The ruling was made at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on 7 March 2025, following the council’s successful application to enforce its Dangerous Structures Notice through the courts.

Maplemanor Properties has now been ordered to comply with the notice by 2 May 2025. Compliance involves taking several specified actions, including submitting an application for listed building consent.

The court emphasised that Maplemanor Properties must submit their listed building consent application by the 2nd May deadline.
