Limavady Museum exhibition celebrates 60 years of Limavady High School

Limavady Museum at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre has reopened with a new exhibition about Limavady High School as it marks its 60th anniversary.

 The entertaining exhibition provides guests with a glimpse down through the years and celebrates the school’s history through pictures, objects and colourful exhibition panels, exploring its, staff, pupils, sports, music, theatre and special occasions.

 Originally named Limavady County Secondary Intermediate School, it has enjoyed a long and distinguished history since first opening its doors on September 4th 1961 under Headmaster Mr Stanley Stewart.  A new school building was officially opened on May 3rd 1962, signalling a new chapter in education in the town.

The exhibition is free to view and is open now until September 25th 2021. 

Opening hours are Wednesday-Thursday 10am – 4pm & 7pm-9pm, Friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
