community Mar 05, 2025

The Post Office has confirmed that the branch in Portstewart, located on The Promenade, has temporarily closed its doors today.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community, a Post Office spokesperson said that the branch has shut for “operational reasons,” adding: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the unplanned temporary closure of this branch. We are working to restore service to the community as soon as possible.”

In the meantime, customers are advised to use the Larkhill branch, located 0.86 miles away. No date for the reopening has been provided, but the Post Office has assured residents it will “resume normal operations” as quickly as circumstances allow.
