Woman Arrested After Multiple Assaults in Coleraine Including Attack on Pregnant Woman

Police in Coleraine have arrested a woman following a report that another woman had been attacked in the New Row area of the town yesterday evening.
Inspector Brogan said: "We received a report just before 6.20pm that a pregnant woman had been assaulted. Her hair was pulled and she was punched, leaving her with facial injuries.
"When officers attended the scene, two further women reported that they had been assaulted - one having hair pulled out and the second being bitten on the forearm causing a puncture wound - when they attempted to help the pregnant woman.
"A fourth woman was punched to the face nearby and also had hair pulled out, while a fifth woman was pushed to the ground and kicked in the chest.
"As the 19-year-old suspect was being arrested, she spat at our officers and within the police car.
"She was taken to custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, criminal damage and two counts of assault on police. She remains in custody at this time."
